ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Zack Ehlen and Derek Case rapped three hits apiece and Case finished with four RBIs as Blue Springs Post 499 Fike mercy-ruled St. Joseph Post 11, 13-3 in five innings, to open Tuesday’s doubleheader.

Post 499 then completed the sweep with an 11-6 error-marred win.

Blake Roberts added two hits and two RBIs in the first game for Fike (12-2, 6-1 Zone 2), which saw all nine players in its starting lineup score a run. Garrett Phillips pitched four innings for the win.

Ehlen (double), Nic Mertes, Cale Benson (double, triple), Phillips (triple) and Braden Younkin each stroked two hits in the second game, with Ehlen, Mertes, Phillips and Case each knocking in a pair of runs. Fike led 6-5 after three innings before scoring four in the fourth.

Andrew Olsen allowed five runs (one earned) in five innings for the win. Fike committed five errors and St. Joseph seven in game two.

St. Joseph fell to 1-12 and 1-9.
