Grain Valley police have arrested five people in connection with a rash of car burglaries over the last few weeks.

Police said they arrested two adults and three juveniles Thursday in the case. Four of the suspects are Grain Valley residents and one is from Oak Grove. Charges are pending.

Police say there have been more than 30 burglaries from cars since July 4. The thieves would take cash, electronics and other items from unlocked vehicles parked on the city’s streets. In one of the thefts a gun was stolen but the gun was recovered Thursday when the arrests were made.
