The Independence School District is needing school bus drivers for the 2014-15 school year and no experience is required.
Applicants must be 21 years of age and drivers will receive paid training upon hire. Bus drivers will only work on school days, however, extra work is available. An average shift is six hours per day, wrote ISD Director of Transportation Daryl Huddleston in an e-mail.
Huddleston also wrote that applicants do not need a commercial drivers license since the district provides training. But they need to possess a clean driving record - no more than two moving violations in the past 10 years.
Some benefits of the position include employer paid health insurance, available dental and vision insurance and access to district facilities, such as the Henley Aquatic Center and the gym and health clinic at Central Office.
