The Lee’s Summit North High School football team completed its community service projects Friday from 8 to 10 a.m. North sent 100 players to six different sites in Lee’s Summit to help. The Broncos helped at Hope House, Lee’s Summit Social Services Community Garden, Deerbrook Covenant Church, the Woods Chapel United Methodist Church community garden and missions center, Hillcrest Thrift Store and the Harris Park Parks and Recreation Department Building. They cleaned up buildings, collected trash, performed garden duties and helped Eagle Scout candidates install a pair of signs at the Woods Chapel UMC missions center.
