• Basic Muzzleloading Rifle, for ages 15 and older, 6 to 10 p.m. Aug. 4 and 5. This two day course encompasses the complete aspect in shooting muzzleloading rifles. It will cover everything that is needed to know about muzzleloaders, including history, types, loading techniques and range time.
• Introduction to Double Trap, for ages 16 and older, 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 8. Open to everyone; free shooting. Different than trap, wobbler has a more variable target flight path than in standard trap shooting because the trap machine oscillates up and down as well as side to side. Instruction will be on proper stance, choke selection and swing through. Walk-ins welcome.
• Introduction to Skeet Shooting, for age 12 and older, 9 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 9. Skeet shooting is a great way to improve your basic shotgun skills and improve your hit ratio on winged game. You may even pick up a new sport at the same time.
• Teens and Firearm Safety, for ages 11 to 17, 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 16. This course is specifically designed for teens who would like to explore the safe handling of firearms. The group will meet once a month all summer long and uncover some fun and exciting new challenges for everyone. Discover new and exciting experiences, such as rifles, pistols, muzzleloaders, shotguns and archery.
