The Blue Springs North Branch of Mid-Continent Public Library is offering the following activities for the month of August. The library is located at 850 N.W. Hunter Drive. All activities are free, but registration is required, call 816-224-8772.

• Exotic Animals R Us, for all ages, 10 a.m. Aug. 6. Let us bring the zoo to you. We have a variety of animals such as baby kangaroos, a fox, a monkey, a porcupine, turtles, and more.

• Preschoolers at the Library, for ages 2 and older, 10 a.m. Aug. 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28. Join other preschoolers for games, activities and fun.

• Teens at the Library, 6:30 p.m. Aug. 11. Make crafts, watch movies, play games and more.

• Teen Anime Movie Night, 6:30 p.m. Aug. 26. Call to find out which movie is showing.

• I Teach U Savings: Couponing Basics, for adults, 7 p.m. Aug. 28. Lisa Williams offers strategies to maximize your savings on groceries, household supplies, and personal care products. Discover new ways to organize and expand your coupon library with minimal effort.

• Deluxe Raptor Program, for all ages, 10 a.m. Aug. 30. Operation Wildlife offers the rare chance to see an owl up-close, as well as a falcon and a hawk. Come visit these beautiful birds and gain insight into your habits.
