  • Faulkner's Ranch holding job fair for pumpkin season

  • Faulkner’s Ranch employs between 60 and 100 people for its annual pumpkin season. They are looking for individuals to work as ranch hands, entertainers, cashiers and food service workers. Jobs vary from weekend only to all week and anyone ages 16 and older may apply.
    The Job Fair will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 26 at Faulkner’s Ranch, 10600 Raytown Road, Kansas City. The following are description of the jobs available:
    • Ranch hands - Looking for hard-working, friendly teens and young adults who are good with people. Tasks include manning ranch activities (pony rides, game stations, etc.) and stocking/moving pumpkins.
    • Entertainers - Includes Scarecrow and Jolly Rancher. Must be a self-starter who can act as a great customer service representative for the ranch. Takes pictures with guests and lead game time every hour on the hour. Works primarily on weekends.
    • Cashiers - Must have excellent customer service skills, be good with handling money, and be able to keep calm under pressure.
    • Food service - Must be hard-working and good with people. Jobs vary from concession stand workers to food prep and grillers. Bring food handlers license if you have one.
