The maternal grandparents are Douglas and Janet Watts of Blue Springs, and the paternal grandparents are Neil and Connie Shalz of St. Joseph.
The maternal great-grandmother is Ruby Graham of Carrollton, Mo., and the paternal great-grandmother is Dorothy Shalz of Wathena, Kan.
