Deacon Joseph Byrd, son of Brandon and Anna Byrd of Grain Valley, was born June 12, 2008, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence. He weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces, and was 19 inches in length.

The maternal grandparents are Bryan and Rebecca Deke, and the paternal grandparents are Rod and Lori Overton, all of Blue Springs.
