Melanie Elizabeth Marcum, daughter of Jonathan and Andrea Marcum of Grain Valley, was born Nov. 16, 2008. She weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces, and was 19.5 inches in length.
The maternal grandparents are Kim and Jam Scheidler, and Peter and Cindy Rocque, and the paternal grandparents are Butch and Yvonne Marcum, all of Blue Springs.
The maternal great-grandmother is Betty Farnholtz of Winona, Minn., and the paternal great-grandparents are Calvin and Laverne Otten of Sedalia, and Shirley Marcum of Otterville, Mo.
