Dance company opens new location

Kacico Dance and Kacico School of Contemporary Dance is expanding by opening a new location.

The company will continue to work out of its location at 8621 S. Buckner-Tarsney Road in Oak Grove and is opening a facility at 2540 S. Pennway, Kansas City. The new studio is on the second floor of the former Coca-Cola building, north of 26th Street.

Kacico West in Kansas City will serve as the performance location while classes will be held at both locations.

The company will host its first performance at the new location as part of the Kansas City Fringe Festival with four performances, July 24–27. The festival features performances at 10 venues, each featuring four different groups. Tickets will be sold at the door, and at the Kansas City Fringe Festival Web site at kcfringe.org.
