Anderson Design
A monthly publication produced by a southwest Missouri man has been named best in the world by the Barbershop Harmony Society at its recent annual contest and convention in Nashville.
“Harmonotes,” edited by Todd Anderson of Anderson Design in Ozark, Mo., earned the 2007 Bulletin of the Year Award last week from the world’s largest singing group. The publication is the communication tool of Kansas City’s Heart of America Chorus, which ranks in the top 20 of BHS choruses worldwide.
“Harmonotes” had been judged among the top three bulletins by the international organization the past two years, but this was the first gold medal for Anderson. The panel of judges from across the Society assigns points primarily for newsletter content, layout and production.
Rounding out the top five awardees this year were entrees from Iowa, New Jersey, Ontario and South Dakota. Anderson has been the creative designer behind the chamber’s Santa-Cali-Gon Days Festival promotional materials since 2000.
