Warrensburg, Mo. —

Small-business owners interested in government contracting opportunities are invited to attend a free procurement conference May 30 at the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg.

The conference is designed to help small businesses learn how to supply part of the $250 billion the government spends on goods and services annually. In addition, attendees may also make additional business contacts.

Donald C. Winter, secretary of the Navy, and Sean Crean, deputy assistant secretary of the Navy for research, and Rear Admiral Sean Crean, deputy assistant secretary of the Navy for research, development and acquisition, will be speakers.

The Blue Springs office of Congressman Ike Skelton is coordinating the effort.
