NBC has committed to moving The Tonight Show to New York and replacing longtime host Jay Leno with current Late Night host Jimmy Fallon.
The New York Times on Wednesday reported that the network had not decided on an exact timetable to move to back from Burbank, California to the city where it debuted in 1954. The switch was expected to take place by the fall of 2014.
