If Jesse Jackson Jr. genuinely suffers from bipolar disorder, as has been reported, he deserves our sympathy. Mental illness is not a moral failing.
On the other hand, I’m not going to feel sorry for Jackson if he ends up in the slammer for stuff like THIS:
