The Environmental Protection Agency has become the largesst source of lost jobs and nonsensical regulations which make little or no sense to the average American. All we’ve heard for years is that they protect the quality of our air, water and the environment in general. Armed with this badge of protecting us they have regulated most small businesses to the point of bankrupcy with regulations which stiffle and constrict. The coal industry is vital to our electricity development yet not a day passes when they shut down important coal businesses.
Instead of protecting us they have managed to accrue tons of irrational regulations all of which strangle initiative and development. The worst thing is that they apparently have free rein to continue to stiffle American production and make us less competitive on the world market. The Obama administration seems to derive pleasure from the actions of these incompetent tree-huggers who wallow in their bad regulations.
Counterpoint to this blog will produce myriad descriptions of what a wonderful job they are doing to save us all. Not so. We still have polution, real threats to the environment and thousands of EPA employees whose time would be better spent raking up leaves or sweeping streets.
