Happy New Year! Throughout the month of January, MGC will be highlighting the work of some of our most treasured staff -- our pages. Please enjoy the following introduction to what our Library pages do and check back for more throughout the month:
Carts of books. Microfilm. Periodicals. Maps. What happens to them after they are pulled off the shelves? How do they get back where they belong? PAGES! At MGC, there is a group of 12 people who get to put all those books, microfilm, periodicals, and maps away. You’ve seen us throughout the Library. Maybe you haven’t. Because, well, we’re pages among the pages. Because we do our job so well, you can always find that book you are searching for, a pencil to jot your book titles down, and even get started on your family tree with one of the information packets we put together! And if you can’t find that book you’re looking for, we likely can. We know the Dewey Decimal System backwards and forwards! Without us…well, the Library would be upside down!
