Just in case you were in danger of forgetting about American Idol winner David Cook, the Missouri Department of Transportation agreed to place two signs at the city limits on Interstate 70 recognizing Blue Springs as the home of David Cook, who won American Idol last year.
One sign will be located in the eastbound lane near the Woods Chapel Road exit ramp and the other will be as motorists are leaving Grain Valley, in the westbound direction. That sign will be between the Blue Springs city limit sign and the Adams Dairy Parkway exit.
Merideth Parrish, spokesperson for the city, said the city is also trying to arrange for Mayor Carson Ross to present a mock design of the signs to Cook himself when he performs at the Ameristar Casino on April 22.
