The MCC-Blue River Scholarship Committee is sponsoring the MCC-Blue River Back-to-School Kickoff event.
The kick-off is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 3 at MCC-Blue River, 20301 E. Missouri 78 in Independence.
The event is a collaborative effort between the scholarship committee and the offices of Campus Life and Leadership, the president, the Dean of Student Development and the Dean of Instruction.
The goal is to welcome new and returning students as well as to highlight campus resources while participating in fun activities. In addition, the FEMA Arts and Science Building and the new soccer field will be dedicated. Activities planned include a rock climbing wall, bungee jump, a coupon/giveaway booth and free food and music.
