Elementary students were recently recognized as winners of the September Optimist Super Citizen Award in the Lee’s Summit School District.
The award is presented each month to students in Lee’s Summit elementary schools. The only exception is Mason Elementary School, which conducts a monthly “Character Counts” awards program in cooperation with the Lake Lotawana Optimist Club. These winners are recognized separately.
Super Citizen winners are selected by teachers based on criteria set by the Optimist Club and the school staff.
