VOID, Victims of Impaired Drivers, is hosting a book drive for Children’s Mercy Hospital.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nov. 14 at Walnut Gardens Community of Christ Church, 19201 R.D. Mize Road in Independence.
Books will be given to Children’s Mercy for its “Reach Out and Read Program.”
Needed are new and used books (published since 1985). The new books will be used at the hospital and the used books will go home with the young patients at the Children’s Mercy.
