What does Veterans Day mean to you?

Jake Halphin
Fifth grader at Matthews
“I think it means recognizing and remembering the people who fought in wars. It also means we learn about the armed forces in our nation.”

Ava Page
fourth grader at Matthews
“Celebrating the people who fought and died for our country. I think it is cool that us as kids learn what veterans did for our country.”

Makenna Kilburn
Fifth grader at Matthews
“It means the people fought in a war to keep the freedom and pace we have around the world. We have the freedom to speak our minds, give our opinions and choose our president. It is important to remember what they do and thank them.”
