Dickmann — Hefner

Dr. Joel and Linda Dickmann of Blue Springs wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Gwendolyn Dickmann, to Micah Hefner, son of John and Vicki Hefner of Grain Valley.

Miss Dickmann attended Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, receiving a B.M. in vocal performance, then completed the New York Fashion Experience Program through Marist College in New York City.  Gwendolyn is the events manager and special projects coordinator of Grand Communications, the magazine division of the Kansas City Star.

Her fiancé, a graduate of the University of Central Missouri with a degree in construction management, is the project manager with the J.E. Hefner Co.

A Sept. 19, 2008, wedding is planned at The Loose Mansion, with the reception to follow.
