Marten-Lane

Lynn and Marsha Marten of Lenexa announce the engagement of their daughter, Leslie Marten, to David Lane, son of Ken and Barb Lane of Independence.

Leslie is the granddaughter of Don and Twyla Gaston of Beattie, Kan., and Vera Marten and the late Orville Marten of Wheaton, Kan. David is the grandson of Beth Brentano and the late Bernard Brentano of Atchison, Kan., and Kenneth Lane and the late Jean Lane of Mission.

Miss Marten, a 1997 graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School, graduated from Kansas State University in 2001 with a degree in finance. Leslie is pursuing an MBA at Regis University in Denver, and is an electronic banking consultant for Wells Fargo Bank.

Her fiancé, a 1997 graduate of Truman High School, graduated from K-State in 2002 with a degree in landscape architecture. David is employed by Norris Design in Denver.       

A June 27, 2008, wedding is planned in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
