Mr. and Mrs. Richard Parker of Buckner wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Kaye Parker, to Scott D. Phillips, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Lupton of Kirksville, Mo., and Daniel Phillips of Coradon, Iowa.
Miss Parker received a bachelor’s degree in education from William Jewell College, and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Kimberly is a history teacher in the Blue Springs School District.
Her fiancé has his NASM, and is a performance enhancement specialist and a certified personal trainer. Scott is also an installer for Guier Fence Co.
A June 20, 2008, wedding is planned at Abundant Life Baptist Church in Lee’s Summit.
