On May 17, Cosentino’s Price Chopper will present a benefit concert for the Jennifer Ireland Foundation, hosted by the Blue Springs High School Soccer Alumni Association. The event will be begin at 7 p.m. in the school’s performing arts center.
The concert will feature “Liverpool,” a Beatles tribute band, and “Destination Go.” Other performers will include students and faculty of the school.
The foundation is named for Jennifer Ireland, who died of colon cancer in February 2007. Ireland, a 1997 graduate, played and managed soccer at the high school. The foundation provides grants to cancer patients and their families.
