Dressed to Kill performs on Mystery Train
The Mystery Train – “Dressed to Kill” will run Nov. 13 through Jan. 2, with interactive performances weekly on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at several area restaurants.
“Dressed to Kill” is about a notorious kidnapping in Kansas City that has the underworld abuzz with the news. As the social set prepare for the big holiday parties, designers parade the latest fashions, and the gangsters are scrambling to please the politicians, a murder happens on the train! Will the case be all wrapped up before Christmas, or will the killer remain a mystery?
The cost is $54 on Thursdays, and $64 on Fridays and Saturdays, and includes dinner, show and gratuity. For reservations, call 816-813-9654.

Local students land roles in KC Nutcracker
Several area students have landed parts in the Kansas City Ballet’s Nutcracker, with performances from Dec. 16 through 27 at the Music Hall in downtown Kansas City. This enchanting production is an enduring tale of childhood innocence, the magic and power of dreams and those who dream them.
Avery Saxton is an Angel and a student at Sunny Pointe; Megan Theel is a Ginger and a student at Nowlin Middle School; Allie Odom is a Ginger and a student at Moreland Ridge Middle School; Audrey Lockwood is a Mirliton and a student at Nowlin Middle School; Haley Paszkiewicz is a Mirliton and a student at Lee’s Summit North High School; Isabelle Loos is a Guard in the Battle Scene and a student at Voy Spears; Kaitlin Springate is a soldier and a student at William Yates Elementary; Lucy Petet is young Ginger and a student at Chapel Lakes; and Riley and Connor Horton of Blue Springs are the Prince and Fritz and are homeschooled.

Artifact workshop at KC Museum
The Kansas City Museum will be holding the workshop, “Learn to Mount Your Personal Artifacts” at 2 p.m. Nov. 15, inside the Museum’s StoryTaraium.
Ryan Schaub will explore methods and techniques of supporting and presenting your personal artifacts for display. Schaub, a 10-year museum professional, will discuss some of the principles and practices of creating mounts and holders to properly show your artifacts.
