A taco dinner for Khai is planned for March 18 from 3 to 6:30 p.m. at Duncan Estates Community Hall, 633 S.W. Burry St., Lee's Summit.

Khai Hayes, the 7 year old son of Shaunte’ Hayes of Blue Springs, is in desperate need of assistance. Khai has a rare neurological condition called Cavernous Malformations, which are abnormally formed blood vessels, having the appearance of a small mulberry. These malformations leak blood, causing brain hemorrhage, the result of which can cause neurological symptoms including weakness, numbness, difficulty with speaking and comprehension, unsteadiness, vision changes, or severe headaches. In Khai’s case, CM has caused all of the above side effects.

Proceeds from this event will help pay for a $5,000 deposit to be seen at Mayo Clinic Neurosurgery. Stop by and enjoy 3 tacos for $5.
