Attorney Matthew R. Grundy has been focusing on Social Security disability and SSI disability law in the Kansas City area for more than 12 years. They have been serving as Social Security disability attorneys for many years, and understand how intimidating and frustrating it can be. The Grundy Disability Group will guide you through every step of the way.

The workshop, sponsored by Mental Health America of the Heartland, is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. June 20 in the Englewood Baptist Church Sanctuary, 1900 N.E. Englewood Road, Kansas City. After attending this program, participants will be able to:

• Discuss what Social Security is looking for in order to approve a claim for either physical and/or psychiatric impairments.

• Describe the process used to determine disability and explain what Social Security means when it identifies a person as disabled.

• Inform about the technical requirements for both Supplemental Security Income and Disability Insurance Benefits, and identify the differences between the programs.
