Congratulations to Allen Dale and Betty Maginness who are celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary this month.

Betty and Dale were married during World War II, June 13, 1942. Dale served as a ball turret gunner during the war and survived many dangerous missions overseas before they returned to the metro area to begin careers and family.

They are members of Christ United Methodist Church and enjoy an active life in their Independence home of 60 years. Betty enjoys gardening and volunteering at Hallmark's Kaleidoscope Children's Center.

The couple has 2 sons, four grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
