Stone Church fall series on missions

Stone Church Community of Christ is holding a Fall Missionary Series each Sunday through Oct. 1. All services begin at 10:20 a.m., except Oct. 1. The theme this week is “Forgive Each Other.” The line-up of speakers and themes are:

• Sunday – Tell: Forgive Each Other with Caswells.

• Sept. 24 – Vision: God’s Generosity with Terry Snapp

• Oct. 1 – Light: Be Receptive to God’s Will with Kent Parker. This service will be held at 10 a.m. at the Temple

This Sunday, Velton Peabody will be presiding. The speakers will be Phillip and Darlene Caswell; with Marilyn Daugherty, Miles and Trevor Winship, Marqui Sullivan, Shayla Jensen, Nicole Sullivan, Howard Harrington, Kara Johnson, Charles Belcher, Rich Baldwin, Terry Snapp, Colin Sullivan and Jordan Sullivan also participating. Organist Jeff King will provide the music for the day.

Calvary Baptist also hearing Walter Plant

Walter Plant will be in concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, at Calvary Baptist Church, 900 N.W. 22nd, St., Blue Springs.

You'll enjoy his unique blending of four keyboards. He does not use any sound tracks or tape recorded music. His accompaniment is all performed live.

Faith Bible College connecting Christians

Christians Connecting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 23 at Faith Bible College, 210 S. Main St., Independence. The theme is “Three Great Modern-Day Outpourings.”

There will be three speakers, Lynn Ridenhour, a Southern Baptist minister, will be sharing on “The Best-Kept Secret,” an outpouring of the Spirit the majority of the Body of Christ is unfamiliar with. “Dr. Nick” Nichols, a Pentecostal pastor, specializes in the history of revivals, and walks in signs and miracles, and Tom Neel, with Christ for the Nations, is an excellent teacher, especially regarding leading others into the ”baptism in the Holy Spirit.”
