The Emergency Game Plan Expo, which helps prepare families for natural disasters, fires, floods, blackouts and more, will be held at the Overland Park Convention Center. The public is invited to create an 'Emergency Game Plan' and take part in more than 50 workshops and demonstrations from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 7, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 8.

Expert education will be provided by government agencies, FEMA, the National Weather Service, etc., as well as local organizations, American Red Cross, Salvation Army and Wayside Waifs.

They will provide information on basic first aid and emergency food rationing to protecting your business and backup solar power in addition to: Tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, home and wild fires, floods, blackouts, severe weather, home security, child safety, emergency plans for pets, vehicle safety, Internet security and identity theft, prevention, surviving acts of terrorism, and all types of personal emergencies

Attendees can expect to leave the Expo with both the knowledge and the tools they need for developing their own 72 Hour Emergency Game Plan.
