The Kansas City Zoo is decked out for fall, so bring the family for this spooky, not scary, event between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Oct 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 and 22.

Cruise around on a pedal tractor, navigate a hay bale maze and take the kids’ photo in one of the Halloween photo opps! Take a ride on the Scare-o-cel and shake your ghoul thing with an interactive DJ. Enjoy a hayride around the Zoo, visit Bluey’s Breezeway to have fun with Felton Skeleton, and create a Halloween craft in the lobby. The animals are joining in the festivities by smashing pumpkins at scheduled times each weekend.

In addition, each weekend will also have unique activities and events. On Oct. 7 and 8, Mesner Puppet Theater presents Old McDonald’s Rhyming Ranch at 10:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.; Oct. 14 and 15, Minions are taking over the Zoo. Get your picture taken with them from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Oct. 21 and 22, Star Wars characters travel from a galaxy far far away to the Zoo to take pictures with guests from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For the adults, there is an Oktoberfeast featuring German foods in the Tuxedo Grill from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Hoots & Howls activities are included in Zoo admission. For more information visit, www.kansascityzoo.org.
