Tech Talk: For adults, 7 p.m. Nov. 1 or 2 p.m. Nov. 20. Whether you are a first-time computer user or have had lots of experience, there are always questions waiting to be asked about technology. Bring your questions to the branch, or just come to listen and learn from other participants. You can bring your own laptop computer or tablet.

Free Movies, Music, and More: For adults, 7 p.m. Nov. 2. If you’re tired of spending hundreds of dollars on entertainment, discover all the different ways you can get movies, music, and more – for free – online from the Library.

Beginning Word: For adults, 7 p.m. Nov. 7. This introduction will focus on how to create, save, and print a document using Microsoft Word.

Storytelling Celebration 2017: For all ages, 7 p.m. Nov. 8. Sit on the edge of your seat as you are led into new worlds through words and stories. Internet for Beginners: For adults, 7 p.m. Nov. 9. Learn the basics of internet use including terminology, how to get connected, and how to find what you’re looking for online. This class will also cover printing and a few words on Internet safety.

Creating Magical Moments – Things to Consider When Planning a Walt Disney World Vacation: 7 p.m. Nov. 13. There’s a lot to consider when you plan a Walt Disney World vacation—accommodations, dining, ticket options, and seasons. Learn what resources are available, as well as tips and tricks to make your planning a bit easier.

Beginning Puppetry – Talking with Animals: For ages 8 and older, 2 p.m. Nov. 22. Kids will learn puppetry basics, from creating realistic movements and lip-syncing to entering and exiting the stage. They can review their progress by making short videos of their work.

American Red Cross Blood Drive: 9 a.m. Nov. 24. Members of the community are invited to donate blood and support this lifesaving initiative to help ensure reliable blood inventories in their area and beyond. To donate, make an appointment online at www.redcrossblood.org. Eligible donors will need to be at least 17 years old (16 with written parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and generally be feeling well the day of the donation. Medicare Part D Enrollment: 2 p.m. Nov. 27. Sign up for a one-on-one appointment, and have a trained CLAIM counselor help you answer questions about your Part D or Advantage plan. CLAIM is Missouri’s State Health Assistance Insurance Program, offering free, confidential, and unbiased Medicare counseling and education to Missouri’s Medicare beneficiaries. Long-Term Care Planning: 7 p.m. Nov. 30. The majority of people over age 65 will need some type of long-term care at some point. Learn about long- term care options and how to create a plan to fit your needs.
