Comprehensive Mental Health Services Inc. has received a grant for $23,470 from the REACH Healthcare Foundation. The grant will fund a strategic growth plan which will address the barrier of appropriate payer mix and providing services to the uninsured.
With the plan, CMHS seeks to increase the number of individuals accessing behavioral health and integrated care services. The plan will ensure that all its plans for growth align to the needs of the community and the overall strengths and mission of the agency. The goal is to grow over the course of the next three years to serve more people in Jackson County.
CMHS is a community mental health center that provides a safety net of mental health and substance abuse treatment services, prevention education, and integrated mental and primary health services for low income people in eastern Jackson County and the urban core of Kansas City. Their mission is to provide the highest quality behavioral health services in partnership with individuals, families, and our community.
