Eastern Jackson County and the rest of the Kansas City area is in the path of a winter storm, which is expected to continue throughout the day Thursday. Here is a look by the numbers of what to expect.

2 – Years since the last major winter storm. The last major snow storm was Feb. 1, 2011, when more than a foot of snow hit Eastern Jackson County.

1/2 – Inches of ice it takes to cause power lines to become stressed

6-10  – Inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service, that are expected to fall during this storm, which was expected to start late Wednesday night.

26  – The peak in mph that wind gusts could reach during the storm.

10  – The time tonight when most of the snowfall is expected to end, according to the National Weather Service.

12  – Time tonight – midnight – when the winter weather warning is expected to expire.
