What advice do you have for next year’s freshmen?
Just have the right mind-set. If you think learning is fun, it won’t be that bad. If you make it a chore, it will be.

Who was your favorite teacher and why?
Matthew Hermanson. He taught AP Biology and was able to get through all of the material and still managed to keep it entertaining. He was always willing to help us out anytime.

When you were not in school or studying, what did you enjoy doing?
I just loved to hang out with my friends. We like to play disc golf, tennis, ping pong, XBox or just hang out.

What college do you plan to attend and why?
The University of Missouri in Columbia to study chemical engineering. I’ve always been a huge MU fan, and it gives me a lot of options with what I can study.

What do you see yourself doing 10 years from now?
I hope to be doing medical research or be working somewhere in the medical field.
