Grain Valley Fair Daze is a festival for anyone looking to have old-fashioned family fun.
The festival has been a community tradition for at least 15 years. This year will be the first year it is put on by the Grain Valley Chamber of Commerce. It will be held Sept. 5 and 6 behind the community center at 713 Main Street.
The festival includes a carnival, various community vendors with foods and crafts, an entertainment stage, a beer garden, a barbecue contest and many free activities for children.
“I like that people don’t have to spend a lot of money to have a good time with their families,” said Cindy Panza, Executive Director of Grain Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Panza also said that the festival provides an opportunity for the community to come together.
“Grain Valley is growing and (the festival) really keeps us feeling small town,” Panza said.
Panza said she hopes that the festival is successful so they can continue having it.
“We hope everyone comes out to support it and has a good time,” Panza said.
