Mid-Continent Public Library in Grain Valley, located at 110 Front St., offers many things for the community.

The library offers books on almost any subject, as well as multimedia resource and various activities for all ages. A new feature offered through the library’s Web site is downloadable audio books.

The library also features activities for the community to enjoy.

These activities include family programs, weekly story time, adult book clubs and a “stitcher’s” group.

“They are popular (in the community),” head librarian Mary Reeder said.

Reeder also said the activities can draw anywhere from 60 to 100 people to each.

The library is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
