Water and Sewer
The city of Grain Valley provides water and sewer for city residents.
The office is at City Hall, located at 711 Main St.
For a person or business to obtain a service, a deposit must be made and service agreement completed. The deposit for a homeowner is $50 and for a business renter is $100. Homeowners can be reimbursed after two years.
Both services are combined on the same bill.
The billing cycle is monthly. There is a fee along with termination of service if the bill is not paid on time. There is also a $25 connection fee.
The city provides a drop box outside the City Hall on the north side of the building that is accessible any time.
Payments may be mailed or paid in person at City Hall.

Electricity
Kansas City Power & Light is the new electrical source for Grain Valley residents. Pricing and service information are available by calling 816-471-5275 or 888-471-5275. To report outage emergencies, call 888-LIGHTKC (544-4852). For more information, visit their Web site at www.kcpl.com.
Gas
Missouri Gas Energy provides natural gas services to Grain Valley residents. To start or transfer gas services, call customer service at 816-756-5252. MGE recommends five days advance notice to schedule the start of service.
MGE offers and average bill calculation plan to help avoid high winter gas bills. Charges are based on average use to keep the bills the same amount all year.
Payment can be done online, by mail, through automatic withdrawal or in person. The nearest pay station is at the Blue Springs Hy-Vee, located at 601 W. U.S. 40. Cash, check and money orders are the only accepted payment forms and are made out to Missouri Gas Energy.

Cable
Comcast is the primary cable service provider for Grain Valley. Comcast offers several services including digital cable, premium channels, high speed Internet and digital phone.
Customers can customize their packages to add channels and features that fit their needs.
Comcast offers several different packages. The Comcast Triple Play Bundle, offering cable, Internet and phone services in one package, starts at $99 a month.
Installation, service and reconnections may require additional charges. Modems and special discount prices are also available.

Telephone
AT&T provides telephone service for Grain Valley residents.
AT&T offers several packages that include combinations of long distance, local calling, caller ID, wireless phone, digital satellite television and Internet service. Services can be billed separately of combined on one bill through online payment or customer service, 1-888-792-3751.
