Biomed students awarded Presidential Service Awards

Three Blue Springs South High School students in the Project Lead the Way Biomedical Science Program were awarded Presidential Service Awards. Biomed program students have the opportunity to volunteer in the health-care field. One organization they coordinate with is Youth Health Service Corp. As part of West Central Mo Area Health Education Center’s YHSC, these students have volunteered more than 100 hours.
Peter Lazarz received the gold award for volunteering 452 hours. Savanna Hughes received the silver with 140 hours. Rylie Odom received the silver for 102 hours.
