A fundraiser will be held on Sunday at St. John LaLande Catholic Church to benefit Deb Knust, who is suffering from a rare form of carcinoid cancer.
Knust, a mother of three and grandmother of eight, has been battling cancer for about a year and a half. As with any fight with cancer, the medical costs to continue treatment are skyrocketing.
Her family – husband Bob, sons Bob and John and daughter Christel, plus many extended family members – have organized a spaghetti dinner to raise money for her treatment. In addition to dinner, there will be sports memorabilia available through a silent auction, plus a 50/50 raffle.
The event is from 1 to 6 p.m. at St. John LaLande Parish Center, 801 R.D. Mize Road. For more information, call 816-719-5419.
