Storm debris options for Blue Springs residents

One option is Missouri Organics, one mile west of Kauffman Stadium on U.S. 40. Anyone can drop off trees and limbs with a fee, based on the amount of material.  The disposal fee is $20 if debris is level with the bed of the truck, or $30 if debris is piled to the top of the truck.  Missouri Organics is at 7700 E. Another option is the Lee's Summit Resource Recovery Park which accepts brush (up to 4 inches in diameter) for $12.50 per cubic yard or $1.03 per bag.  The Resource Recovery Park is located at 2101 SE Hamblen Road, Lee's Summit, Missouri 64082.  Call (816) 969-1980 for additional details. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A third option is Pink Hill Acres.  This private facility charges $50 per pickup load or small trailer; fees increase for larger vehicles.  Pink Hill Acres is located at 3500 NW 7 Highway, Blue Springs, Missouri 64014. Call (816) 229-6395 for additional details.  Pink Hill Acres is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and on Saturday, 7 a.m. - 12 p.m.
