Even though my fashion friends are off to market, buying up all the latest SPRING stuff, and the beauty trends follow suit, it is fall here in the Midwest.
So, necessarily it is time for us to get up to snuff on the street trends for hair this fall and winter ’09. Here are a few suggestions:
Bangs – Fringe is still one of the great options for a quick change. It adds a sexy style to your look. Short strait and full, side swept, wispy or long brow covering – some kind of bangs can work for nearly anyone.
Cool color – Pastel blond panels over a deeper neutral blond are all the rage. Copper and ruby reds are rich this fall and dark luscious brunettes are in trend.
Short hair – For fall, the trend is about extremes. Short cuts are really short, like cropped bobs and pixies. They are versatile and can be tailored to your face shape.
Good-looking guy style – More and more I see the guys moving away from short and messy. Longer hair is making a comeback, and unlike the younger guys who are leaving it natural, gentlemen are grooming it more. Think about old Hollywood. Styles. Not gelled back, and stiff, but groomed with pomades, putty or paste.
Holiday hair – Volume! Big hair is always fun for a holiday party. Sometimes it just involves a few curls or a hot roller set to change your whole look. Remember to keep it modern and not too big for a wide face. On the flip side, you can never go wrong with a sleek chignon or high-placed ponytail. Don’t forget that you can add a bit with all the fun, add-in hair pieces that are available.
What ever you choose, have fun with it and try something new. Have a beautiful day!
