A medic with the Independence Fire Department was arrested at his Kansas City North home Saturday night for disturbing the peace.
Neighbors called Kansas City police on the Fourth of July, saying that Shon Pernice was yelling and screaming outside his home at 1105 N.W. 66th Terrace, according to police.
Offices arrived and the neighbor who called police signed a summons for peace disturbance. Pernice was taken into custody around midnight.
He was taken to headquarters detention and held on $100 bond that he posted at 12:20 p.m. Sunday and was released, according to media reports.
The husband of Renee Pernice, who disappeared since early January, Shon is scheduled to go on trial in Clay County, accused of stealing a neighbor’s handgun.
Shon has been named a person of interest in Renee’s disappearance. Authorities say Renee met foul play but no one has been charged in that case.
