Cable-Dahmer Chevrolet will host a car seat installation and inspection day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 1834 S. Noland Road, Independence.
This service is free and usually takes 20 to 30 minutes. Parents or caregivers need to bring the child and the safety seat. Some seats are available for families – contributions are requested so additional seats can be purchased.
Missouri requires children age 4 through 7 and under 80 pounds and 4 foot, 9 inches to be in a booster seat. Safe Kids Buckle Up is a national program developed by Safe Kids Worldwide and sponsored by Chevrolet and General Motors to educate parents and caregivers about the importance of properly restraining children.
