Two good leaders: Dougherty, Graves

To the editor:
Our recent primary election was a mandate for State Representative Curt Dougherty. He is one man (Democrat) who does not mind helping his neighbors.

For example, he will help repair a neighbor’s roof and not expect anything in return. Too many people today expect something in return. Dougherty represents District 53 excellently.

The same can be said of Congressman Sam Graves (Republican). Sam is a pro-life and pro-Second Amendment person. His leadership is what we need in District 6. Kansas City has not helped its neighboring cities. St. Joseph used to be the third largest city in Missouri; it was a leader in commerce. Graves is bringing business back to St. Joseph.
Yes, I am better off with Curt Dougherty and Sam Graves as our leadership.
