Independence, MO —

To the editor:
What was the city thinking when it passed zoning that allows residences to get a permit to store in their driveway? All that is needed is a 51 percent signed petition by any homeowner within 185 feet of that person’s home. Doesn’t matter that it doesn’t affect them. The homeowners it does affect can’t do anything about the eyesore and the fact that this is bringing property values down. People should consider what they are doing when they allow something like this to happen or mind their own business until they know the whole story.
