To the editor:
I have read and written many letters concerning the direction our country has gone. I have always been optimistic and felt that the people would always “come around” and recognize what the real threat is. A lot of well-meaning people and quite a few greedy people voted for a man who delivers a great-sounding speech, but they failed to examine his true character.
When I was growing up, my parents instilled in me that if you are keeping company with a person known to be a thief, liar or heavy drinker, then people look on you as having the same character. Even though it was clearly brought out about Obama’s close associates, he scoffed it off. That was in the past. Now we look at the background and reputation of those he placed in high office. You have to be blind not to see that he is an imposter. He is anything he has to be to get what he wants.
A government of the people? Not anymore, unless the people rise up and demand an impeachment. Is this being an alarmist? Think about ACORN and all the fraud during the election, paying the indigent to collect names to register the same people over and over, the courts allowing those who sleep on park benches and no home address to vote. Not to mention the illegal immigrants and those who have passed away.
All this and not a peep out of the Republican National Committee, let alone McCain. If you think this sounds on the up and up, then we deserve to collapse. And as for the czars, this is well-known in communist countries, not in free republics which, by the way, we are a republic, not a democracy. Appointing all these czars is unconstitutional. He “skipped” the Congress and started placing these very powerful positions in our government without any oversight from the people or Congress.
Our time is running out. Either we speak up now or we have lost our freedom to do so.
