Grain Valley’s annual Taste of the World is this being held this Friday.
It’s from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Community Center, 713 S. Main St.
“I’ve got some tickets left. I don’t have a lot,” Jen Morgan, executive director of the Grain Valley Chamber of Commerce, said at Tuesday’s monthly chamber luncheon.
Sixteen vendors will be there, including Ronnie’s Rib Shack, Boulevard Brewery, Whiskey Tango, Costco, Bates City Bar-B-Q and Texas Roadhouse.
“It’s very good. The place is packed,” Morgan said.
The event, a fundraiser for the chamber, also includes a silent auction with items ranging from stadium blankets and tickets to the Kansas City Zoo to a weekend in Omaha and suite seats at the Tour of Gymnastics Champions on Oct. 18 at the Sprint Center.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, but $5 in advance or at the door for those 55 and older.
